21st Century Tools for Teachers, T&L 2900

21st Century Tools for Teachers introduces educators of all technical backgrounds to free, web-based programs that increase student engagement and achievement. This course takes a practical approach to the multimedia development process by teaching educators how to implement evidence-based practices in the classroom through technologies many students already use. This program is not text-book driven but interactive and project- based. Educators learn how to effectively integrate 21st century teaching strategies in a variety of contexts. The programs are simple, easy to use, and enable educators to walk away with products for their classrooms by the end of the course. Participants acquire new skills for Web 2.0 products that encourage complex communication, higher order thinking, and subject mastery.
