Planning and Instructional Design, T&L 2900

A lesson plan necessary when determining what students need to learn and how it will be done effectively during the class time. Use this course to identify and write learning objectives and design appropriate learning activities. Universal Design for Learning (UDL) is about removing barriers for ALL students in order to give them the best opportunity to be successful learners. In this overview of UDL, we will look at optimizing the learner's motivation to learn, options for the representation of new material and options for students to express what they have learned. You'll also learn about ADDIE - one of the most basic, flexible, and common models used to design instructional materials for educational courses and programs. Used to develop both classroom and online educational programs, ADDIE has been a springboard for several other instructional models which makes it essential knowledge for those creating instructional programs.
